Discovering World Cultures in the company of leading expert lecturers is the tag line for this month's Host Pick, The Traveller. Offering more than 60 different trips led by notable scholars in their field, these tours are sure to satisfy the mind as well as the wanderlust of the most culturally curious travelers.
The mini-breaks, "A Taste of' series, offer travelers a quick glimpse into a destination with the option for additional travel. For example; A Taste of Roman Africa: Exploring Tripolitania, A Taste of The Baltic: the Hanseatic Port of Gdansk, A Taste of Reykjavik: Nature's Dramatic Capital and A Taste of Damascus: a Chronicle of History. Longer journeys allow a more in-depth familiarization with a theme such as; In Search of Bessarabia, Ancient Macedonia, Turkey - Lost Kingdoms: of the Christian Orient, Cambodia and Beyond: The Ancient Khmer Empire and Universal Leonardo - London and Oxford to name a few. Tours are limited to 25 passengers, but average 18, allowing a perfect ratio for accessibility to the lecturer and enjoyment of the destination. Guest lecturers are joined by local guides and trips are escorted by a tour manager assuring complete comfort and service. In addition to scheduled group tours, special departures for families are available and Tailor Made & Independent Journeys can also be custom crafted. A trip with The Traveller is a great way to explore world cultures and learn about new places and ideas from experts in the field. By Sheri Leigh |
